Rick Krause

President

Rick Krause has spent his entire career in foodservice, beginning in college washing pots before moving into the kitchen as a weekend relief cook—a role that sparked his lifelong passion for cooking. After working across kitchens, operations, and sales, he joined Pic Rite in the mid-1990s, immediately recognizing the value of an independent partner who could help foodservice operators gain fairness and transparency in their produce spending. He later became a partner and ultimately the owner, guiding the company with a client-first philosophy and a deep understanding of how to run an efficient, high-performing foodservice operation. Today, Rick continues to lead Pic Rite’s mission to safeguard clients from unnecessary costs while ensuring consistent quality and reliable service across every facility.

When he’s not working, Rick enjoys 70s and 80s rock, cheering for both the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles, traveling, concerts, live shows, reading, gardening, working out, and spending time at the beach or behind the wheel of a convertible. He also shares life with Maggie, his Greater Swiss Mountain Dog and loyal companion.

Andrew Floyd

Chief Operating Officer

Andrew Floyd brings a versatile blend of legal expertise, analytical skill, and operational leadership to his role at Pic Rite. A graduate of Pomona College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Political Science, he began his career at Marsh as a Financial Compliance Analyst and Business Analyst. He later earned his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law and spent several years practicing civil litigation, property law, and contract law, while volunteering in Montgomery County Juvenile Court. Andrew previously worked with Pic Rite earlier in his career, and he returned to the company in 2021 to help strengthen operations, client support, and internal systems across the organization.

Andrew lives in Schwenksville, PA with his wife Amanda, their teenage daughter Bella, and their Australian Shepherds, Shea and Ezra—both named with family fandom in mind. He is an avid supporter of the New York Mets, New York Giants, and Arkansas Razorbacks, and much of his family’s free time is spent traveling for Bella’s softball and soccer tournaments. He and Bella also share a long-standing love of Star Wars.

Maggie

Chief Canine Officer

Maggie, Pic Rite’s loyal Chief Canine Officer, is a four-year-old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog who brings warmth, humor, and steady companionship to the team. Known for her mastery of strategic office naps and her unwavering commitment to daily exercise, she keeps morale high and spirits lifted wherever she goes. Friendly with everyone she meets, Maggie’s presence adds levity to Pic Rite’s disciplined, client-focused work.

When she’s not in the office, Maggie enjoys long walks, enthusiastic snacking, and the occasional hunting adventure. She doesn’t worry about her figure and will gladly eat anything offered—and plenty that isn’t. Whether supervising, napping, or leading her owner on three-to-four-mile daily hikes, Maggie embodies the loyalty and good nature that define the Pic Rite culture.

The Story Behind Pic Rite

Pic Rite Management & Consulting was founded in 1992 with a simple idea: hospitals, schools, and foodservice operators shouldn’t have to guess whether they’re paying fair prices for fresh produce. At a time when independent produce cost management was still emerging, Pic Rite stepped in as an unbiased partner—monitoring pricing, quality, and contracts so operators could focus on running their kitchens and serving their communities.

From the beginning, Pic Rite’s role has been clear: we don’t buy or sell produce. Instead, we sit on the client’s side of the table—analyzing bids, monitoring weekly spend, and working with distributors to ensure that every dollar goes as far as it should. That conflict-free model has remained at the heart of the company for more than three decades.

Over the years, Pic Rite has grown into a specialized team of produce analysts, industry professionals, and support staff dedicated to transparency and cost avoidance. The team monitors market shifts, reviews pricing and invoices, collaborates with distributors, and publishes the weekly Freshly Pic’d News report—giving operators insight into market conditions and helping them make informed decisions week after week.

Today, Pic Rite continues to uphold its founding promise: to safeguard foodservice operations from overpaying for produce, support consistent quality and service, and provide the independent oversight operators need to manage their programs with confidence.
